Red Juicy Mess

As an Italian, how could I not love tomatoes? Red, juicy, sweet—sun-warmed and full of life.

This tablecloth was born after one of my little trips to Rome. I was wandering through the center, and all those loud, checkered red tablecloths outside the old-school trattorias made me smile. They’re kitschy, yes. A little touristy. But also kind of perfect.

So I thought—why not make my own version? Something playful and a little messy, like a Roman summer lunch with friends.
